Dental Bonding is a cosmetic dentistry technique that uses a composite resin to mask imperfections. The resin is matched to the colour of the patients teeth and applied freehand by the dentist. The function of dental bonding is to make chipped, discoloured or short teeth look better. Bonding can also be used to protect part of the tooths root that becomes exposed when teeth recede. Little or no tooth preparation is needed.
Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain placed over the front teeth to change the color or shape of your teeth. Veneers are used on teeth with uneven surfaces or are chipped, discolored, oddly shaped, unevenly spaced or crooked. Little or no anesthesia is needed. Veneers are used to treat some of the same problems as bonding.
